Cain and Abel Day by Day

Historically the Cain-Abel relationship had been important so that selected central persons could establish a foundation for the messiah to come. But after that coming occurs, that foundation for the messiah has to be established by everybody in the physical and spiritual world. Ultimately, every individual has to receive the messiah based on his/her personal foundations of faith and substance.

The movements blessing ceremony is the moment where a person – as part of a couple – substantially receives the messiah. To prepare for the blessing individuals have to establish a foundation of faith and a foundation of substance.

The foundation of faith is accomplished through the daily life in the movement and participation in activities. Life isn’t easy so there is sacrifice involved. There also is a time period. Nominally this used to be 7 years – 3.5 years in fundraising and 3.5 years in witnessing activities. The foundation of substance is established by following the respective leader. The leader is in the Abel position and the followers are Cains. Of course, each leader has a leader on a higher level in the hierarchy. Thus, while he/she is Abel to subordinates, he/she is simultaneously Cain in front of the higher ups.

According to the teaching, Cain can only receive God’s blessing if he ‘goes through Abel’. Cain must submit to Abel until Satan leaves and at that moment God’s blessing comes to both Cain and Abel. That can be success in fundraising, witnessing or any other activity.

Unlike with the historical central figures like Noah, Abraham, Moses etc. the time after the coming of the messiah is time of ‘lateral’, meaning horizontal, restoration. Every situation in history and in the personal ancestry is being restored by living through appropriate situations that undo some kind of mistake of the past. Thus, the establishment of the foundation of substance has to occur many times and dealing with Cain-Abel situations became a matter of daily life.

This concept has often been taken so far, to seek any kind of success in any type of endeavor through the fulfillment of the Cain-Abel responsibilities, meaning Cain has to unite with Abel. The way to success would be that Cain and Abel unite, failure would simply be attributed to ‘disunity’, without deeper research of the factors involved.

In simple activities like fundraising, for example, that might work for quite some time. However, when the task becomes more complex, this approach begins to fail. Even a move from a fundraising team to a witnessing center has thrown people off course for months, if not forever. The simple approach of a ‘Cain’ unconditionally following ‘Abel’ by continuing to offer a product to passers by on the street, doesn’t work anymore when people get involved in more complex tasks like talking to outsiders on an equal basis, like in witnessing.
