God and Evil
According to the Principle God will never compromise with evil and he will only relate to things and situations that have undergone what is called a ‘separation from evil’ (see further down). He will then relate based on the goodness ( or ‘principledness’ ) contained in the situation, to the extent of that goodness and only as long as it lasts.
Dae Mo Nim, the woman that runs the operations at Chung Pyung, for example, puts it figuratively when she says, that “millions of years after the fall, God still stands at the same place” ( outside of space and time ), never having compromised his position, ‘waiting for humans to return’.
This is also one of the reasons given for the fact that God did not intervene in the fall. The original design does not include a way of interaction with evil. Thus, had God responded in any way he would then have shared creatorship with Satan, who would have made him do it.
Furthermore, the original design does not provide a way for God to directly interact with immature humans – even during the time before the fall. The maturing process is the period where they have to extend their own effort in their development, based on their free will and how they perceive their responsibility. This is their participation in the creation of the cosmos – humans are a microcosm. At successful completion of that process they would then ‘inherit’ God’s ownership, while simultaneously entering the realm of ‘direct dominion’.
This commitment of God to his plan and to human beings as centers of the cosmos – even after the fall - is found throughout the teaching. It truly elevates God and human beings.
