Returning Resurrection
DP teaches that God’s original will has not been realized and that - as a result - humankind lives in an imperfect world under Satan;s control, a.k.a hell (on earth and in spirit world). As a result, every human being that lived until now exists in an imperfect state, not qualified to enter heaven.
A problem arises from the fact that the physical body is vital to the development process of imperfect souls. So, even if the original will of God should be realized in the end, how will all these immature humans grow to be perfect and enter heaven?
According to DP, people who enter spirit world participate in the process of ‘returning resurrection’ to continue to grow even after their physical death. Thus, the process that was meant to be completed within on life span now covers several lives - as many as it takes. This is very similar to various theories of reincarnation.
The main difference is that now individuals on earth are no longer individuals which lived several lives. Humans rather are beings that came into existence at the time of their physical birth. However, due to returning resurrection, they also serve as the body for spirits that return to earth through returning resurrection.
Thus, when looking at reports of people remembering several lives, DP would say that these memories are those of people that cooperate with humans on earth in order to grow.
In the process, humans on earth will experience similar situations as those that cooperate from spiritual world. The limitations and imperfections of cooperating spirits are ‘inherited’ by earthly humans. Spirits are supposed to help their ‘physical hosts’ to master situations that they left behind unresolved. If they solve a problem, master their emotions, learn new ways of loving and serving others, then also the spirits grow accordingly.
A problem lies in the imperfect communication between physical and spirit world or even ignorance or rejection of the concept of eternal life. In that case the guidance through spirit world is even more restricted than through the incomplete spiritual state of earthly humans alone. However, for spirits this is the only way to grow and the process will continue until every human being on earth and spirit world ultimately enters heaven.
